Trip Overview

The safari begins upon arrival at Entebbe, followed by a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in south western Uganda for an extraordinary gorilla trekking experience. Finally, the adventure concludes with a visit to Lake Mburo National Park for wildlife Encounter, , showcasing its whispers of the wild, with iconic and amazing wild animals that include giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, antelopes and many others.

Trip Details

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi National Park

Your guide from Trip Share Safaris will meet you at your accommodation or Entebbe airport. We'll travel southwest along the Kampala Masaka highway, pausing at Kayabwe Equator crossing before continuing to Mbarara. Enjoy a delightful lunch at the Igongo Cultural Center.

The journey progresses to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a sanctuary for the endangered mountain gorillas, a significant draw for Uganda's tourism. Afterward, indulge in dinner and spend the night at your chosen lodge.

Day 2: Ultimate Gorilla Trekking and Community Walk in Bwindi National Park

Start your day with, followed by a prompt departure to the park headquarters by 7:30 am for a comprehensive briefing. The park wardens will assign different gorilla families for tracking, offering glimpses of other wildlife like antelopes, bush pigs, chimpanzees, baboons, elephants, and a plethora of bird species.

Remember to carry your packed lunch and all essential gear for tracking the rare Mountain Gorilla, a truly thrilling wildlife encounter. Upon encountering these majestic creatures, you're allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Capture photos without flash while maintaining a safe distance of 5 meters.

Exercise caution to avoid contact with the gorillas to prevent disease transmission and respect their space, as the Silverbacks or dominant males might perceive intrusion and react defensively.

Although the trek might range from 2 to 8 hours, the unforgettable experience is well worth the effort and patience it demands.

Day 3: Transfer to Kabale for Lake Mburo National Park

After an early morning breakfast, depart from the mountain gorillas' sanctuary and journey towards the enchanting Lake Mburo National Park where you will expect to reach in the afternoon have the boat and sleep over or the next day. During the boat, you will encounter a number of wildlife that includes the hippos, crocodiles, water birds and many others.

Day 4: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe

After a morning breakfast, you will head in for a morning game drive, where you expect to see a number of wildlife that include giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, beautiful birds among others.

Thereafter, you will embark on a journey to Kampala or Entebbe marking the end of your ultimate safari in Uganda. You will drive with your lunch en route and a number of stopovers for photography. This is an adventure drive, not just a journey.
